Last update: 10 April, 2021

Thank you for your interest in Portfoleon. This Privacy Policy will notify you of the following:

  • What personally identifiable information is collected from you through the website, how it is used and with whom it may be shared.
  • What choices are available to you regarding the use of your data.
  • The security procedures in place to protect the misuse of your information.
  • How you can correct any inaccuracies in the information.

Scope

This privacy policy covers your use of portfoleon.com or any subdomain sites, blogs, and applications (collectively, the “Service”).

Information collection, use, and sharing

Cookies

We use cookies to provide the Service. These are small files that your browser automatically creates and that are stored on your device (laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.) when you use the Service.

We use cookies for two purposes:

  1. To save settings that you have made on the site or in the application.

For example, we will save the width of columns in the Resources grid in a cookie, so that next time when you open the same grid, you would see it as you have set it up before.

  1. To learn when you visit our site again.

For example, we can determine how many unique site visitors we had each day. Even if you visit our website two times per day, you will still count as one visitor because from the cookie we will know you are visiting the second time.

The information that is stored in the cookie does not allow us to determine your exact identity.

Most browsers accept cookies automatically. If you do not want us to recognize information about your computer, please set your Internet browser to delete cookies from your computer hard drive, block all cookies, or warn you before a cookie is stored. We suggest consulting the Help section of your browser or taking a look at the About Cookies website which offers guidance for all modern browsers.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to better understand how you are using the Service and to optimize and improve the Service. All of our activity is compliant with Google Analytics Terms of Service. We do not combine the information collected through the use of Google Analytics with personally identifiable information. You can opt-out of tracking using this link or use a browser plugin to opt out of all Google Analytics tracking software.

Hotjar

We use Hotjar in order to better understand our users’ needs and to optimize and improve the Service. Hotjar is a technology service that helps us better understand our users experience (e.g. how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click, what users do and don’t like, etc.) and this enables us to build and maintain our service with user feedback. Hotjar uses cookies and other technologies to collect data on our users’ behavior and their devices (in particular device’s IP address (captured and stored only in anonymized form), device screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), browser information, geographic location (country only), preferred language used to display our website). Hotjar stores this information in a pseudonymized user profile. Neither Hotjar nor we will ever use this information to identify individual users or to match it with further data on an individual user. For further details, please see Hotjar’s privacy policy by clicking on this link.

You can opt out to the creation of a user profile, Hotjar’s storing of data about your usage of our site and Hotjar’s use of tracking cookies on other websites by following this opt-out link.

Your user profile

When you register with the Service, you voluntarily provide us the following data:

  1. Your email address.
  2. Your name.

We need your name to be able to address you, and we need your email to send you notifications, password recovery emails, news and updates about the Service. You can opt out of the news & updates emails, but system notifications and password recovery emails are an integral part of the service. You can only opt out of these emails if you terminate the use of our Service.

Your Access to and Control Over Information

You may correct your user profile using the profile editor. You may have us delete any data we have about you by contacting us on we@portfoleon.com.

You may opt out of Google Analytics and Hotjar using respective opt-out links above.

Security

We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected online.

Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as your name and email address), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a lock icon in the address bar and looking for " https" at the beginning of the address of the Web page.

If you feel that we are not abiding by this privacy policy, you should contact us immediately via email ( we@portfoleon.com).
